The Earthchild Institute is an international not-for-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) work­ing in programme cooperation and partnership with the United Nations (UNICEF, UNEP, UNFCCC, FAO and others), Governments, private sector partners, NGOs and children themselves in relation to all matters pertaining to ‘children and environment’. We are dedicated to supporting development and implementation of practical, cost-effective, culturally appropriate, sustainable in­terdisciplinary policies and programmes which meet the goals and objectives of your organization while meeting the needs of Mother Earth and her children within the context of our ever changing world.

Consulting and Programme Development:

Billed at an hourly or longer term negotiated rate.

  1. Research, development and drafting of policy papers, and advocacy materials and publications on issues related to child participation, environment, water, human rights and human security in relation to climate change and children.
  2. Develop participatory programmes, curriculum resources, interactive learning modules and games for children of all ages as well as for intergenerational dialogue to specifically meet the needs of your organization, your country or community. Experiential on-line interactive learning module games can be a great tool for strengthening capacity of adult field workers, parents and community leaders as well as for children and young people.
  3. Capacity-building for policy development and implementation: in the context of water, climate change,intergenerational dialogue, inputs related to the rights needs, capacities and involvement of children and young people, environmental education, WASH or education for sustainable development.
  4. Consultation on intergovernmental processes: learn how to navigate through the alphabet soup of intergovernmental process, regional capacity building efforts, national adaptation plans for action and discover the best ways to get involved while meeting your own goals and objectives. These outcomes are: win-win-win: winning as you meet your individual or organizational needs for action: winning as you contribute and add value to collective processes: and winning for the children and young people in the communities who will be served!!!
  5. Matchmaking services for donors: providing advise on water, climate change, intergenerational dialogue and youth engagement or education for sustainable development related project or programme priority. Our programmatic hub includes a portfolio of extraordinary NGOs and CBOs who are implementing cost effective, sustainable and community empowering projects in many different countries and regions. This matchmaking service will ensure that your funds are directed to a project or programme which is fully aligned with your unique goals and intentions.
  6. Facilitation (charged at a daily rate)

    Whether it be an international children’s conference, an intergenerational dialogue event, a conference workshop, or a community-based capacity building workshop for your adaptation, water, or micro-enterprise, the Earth Child Institute will work with you and your team to design a participatory programme to meet your objectives, advise on necessary processes and protocols and facilitate the process on site.

    Our Executive Director, Donna L. Goodman, is author of a number of publications on water and WASH education, climate change and children, environmental education, youth participation and human security. She speaks from the heart with a depth of knowledge, international perspective and is an authentic and motivating public speaker.Earth Child Institute team members, Directors, Advisers and Affiliates live in different regions of the world and may also be available for speaking engagements or presentations to meet the needs of your meeting, event or project.
