Hands On, Minds on Lesson Plans

The Earthchild Institute has developed three series of enrichment programmes, each of which includes eight hands-on, minds-on lesson plans. They are called: ‘Mother Earth and Me’, ‘The Colors of Awareness’ and ‘Imagination is more Important than Knowledge.’ (reference descriptions below)

These programmes can be implemented  in many different ways. They can be taught in a series of eight lessons in an after-school setting with children, used by a youth group or women’s circle for personal development or can be very effectively implemented as an individual professional development workshop for teachers or in a corporate setting. We have seen all of these scenarios work quite well at provoking thought, self-reflection and creativity among participants.
