- Planting 2.2 billion trees (one tree for each of 2.2 billion people under the age of 18)
- Helping offset net deforestation of 14 billion trees, equivalent of 20–25% of global CO2 emissions
- Providing life-skills based environmental education through the development of participatory tools and individualized learning modules that highlight the interdependent relationships of the natural environment and human use and consumption.
Our successes to date:
Brazil: planting starts in 2012!
Ghana: 120 trees planted by three schools
Nepal: 1,100 trees have been planted by 1,000 children and community members from 3 schools
Nigeria: 50 trees have been planted by one school in the Ilupeju-Ibafo community
Togo: 3,807 trees planted by 20 school children, 40 community members and 2 teachers
